The Best Organic Clothing Brands for Babies and Children
Every parent wants the best and safest products for their children, and that includes baby clothes. But what are the best baby clothes, and what does that mean, exactly?
When discussing clothing, the label “organic” means that the material, such as cotton, used to produce it, was made using sustainable farming methods. This means things like using natural fertilizers instead of artificial ones, engaging in practices like crop rotation, and not using pesticides or chemicals. Most brands use the Global Organic Textile Standard, or GOTS, to show that their clothing is made using these organic methods, and can use the label if their products are made from 70% certified organic materials.
Simply put, buying organic clothing ensures that you are supporting sustainable fashion, something that is more important than ever when shopping for children’s clothing. Because little children pass a lot clothes. Some pieces lose spots and cracks; some don’t get tired even before they are old.
But with these options, you can feel better about what you’re buying. Here are some of the best natural clothing brands for babies and children, tested by Shine editors and other real moms.
